Hi, I’m Jon.
I drive a truck for a living. 5 days a week, 11-hour shifts. By most standards, it’s a good wage and I’m grateful for it. But here’s the truth nobody likes to talk about: a good hourly wage doesn’t automatically build a good financial future.
After bills, there’s not much left over. My wife stays home with our kids. We love our life. But I want more for our family.
I want to own a home outright someday. I want my kids to go to college without starting their lives buried in debt. I want to retire with dignity. Not just survive retirement, but actually enjoy it. And I want to leave something behind for my kids and future grandkids.
The Problem with Most Financial Advice
Most financial advice sounds good in theory. But applying it to real life is a different story. Variable hours, overtime that comes and goes, no corporate benefits package, and coming home exhausted after a long shift. That’s where most people get stuck. That’s exactly the gap I built this site to fill.
What Hourly Investor Is
I built Hourly Investor for people like us. Truck drivers, nurses, warehouse workers, tradespeople, retail workers, and anyone who wants to build a financially secure life for themselves and their family.
This site is about reaching the financial goals that lead to a truly great life:
- Getting out of debt and staying out
- Building an emergency fund so one bad month does not wreck everything
- Starting to invest even when money is tight
- Making the most of overtime pay
- Saving for a home, your kids college, and a real retirement
- Building something to leave behind for the people you love
No matter where you are starting, Hourly Investor is here to give you the tools, the knowledge, and the confidence to build the life your family deserves.
This Is a Long Game
Building real wealth takes time. It is not fast and it is not always easy. But every dollar you save, every account you open, and every smart decision you make builds on the last one. That is how ordinary people create extraordinary outcomes for their families.
I am on this journey too. I do not have all the answers, but I am committed to figuring it out, sharing what I learn, and growing alongside this community.
Because a great financial life is not reserved for the wealthy. It is built, one decision at a time, by people willing to stay the course.
